Looking forward on Mare Island

The new year always brings hope for the better. After a pretty abrupt and somewhat painful end in 2012, this “Yardbird” is looking forward to the new year and is most thankful. As I walk along this special place, I appreciate the beauty that surrounds this tiny point on earth I call home.
